Your tasks

Join our dynamic team as a Trainee in Loan Portfolio Management for Corporates and be a valuable contributor to one of the largest and most profitable credit portfolios in the banking industry. As the market leader for German medium-sized enterprises, you will have the opportunity to work with us and gain hands-on experience in managing loan portfolios while contributing to the overall performance of the portfolio.

In our trainee programme, you are hired directly with a permanent employment contract from day one. Your work consists of seeing the portfolio from all perspectives, starting from the transactional level. Furthermore, you will also gain knowledge in understanding the regulatory regime of our portfolio, capital market products for equity optimization, data mining and analytics for profitability optimization, and participate in departmental projects for digitization.

As part of your traineeship, we will also build a personal development plan in which we look at what matches your interests and the skills you wish to further improve. The traineeship will include an opportunity for international exposure and stations in relevant areas such as Structuring, Big Data & Advanced Analytics, Relationship, and Product units. This will help you build a fundamental cross-functional network for your thriving future career.

During your traineeship in the Loan Portfolio Management team, we will accompany you by offering mentoring on the various topics and offering continuous support and feedback to help your overall development. Your profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, VWL/Econometrics, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent/good German is desired, but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), VBA, Python, or similar skills are an advantage
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with a strong desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Above-average self-responsibility, motivation, and understanding
